@weebdeluxe if you look for something more general purpose Linux Mint is generally a good place to start. You can then just install retroarch and would be good to go.
If its an emulation only box with a nice frontend EmulationStation should be the way to go

My own library consists mostly of Electronic stuff and a bunch of artists I found through those MonsterCat compilation albums they used to do. Also more than enough Vocaloid EDM Music lol. I will see if I can grab a screenshot later
