this is a very interesting chain of points. There should certainly be boundaries with online personas in generals. A bit of escape from reality is fine and all thats why we read books, watch films and other stuff. Its a distraction from the harsh reality for a bit. Mostly good for the mind. Not always being negative is a nice thing.
There certainly is a problem which people which dissociate from their real selves. I have only met so many furries (for example) in my life, most of them were completely harmless and likeable people. Just some guys having fun I guess.
But some oddballs would really obcess over this. Which tbh is not good. Such illusion as you guys say might lead to further harm for oneself and others.
As with everything moderation is a must. Most people in my bubble use anime-avis since they like them but most people will not think they are them. Maybe its just some kind of idol for them or something they thought as cute.
Its important to care I think.

I recently got into MHWorld (not wilds cuz pc cannot handle) and this has been my experience with the two weapons i enjoy haha

@bartholin uhm I guess you have autism of some kind maybe? Its an interesting watch for sure. Though I do not have autism myself.
Way too many people do suffer of ADHD or maybe even Autism. This one might help "normal" people understand just a little better what is happening in people that behave "weird" in their eyes.

@rick @MagicLike ever heard of cargo-shorts? Ich hatte halt riesen Probleme mit den Shorts die waren einfach net für mich geeignet.
Though maybe weil ich die auch zum Radfahren verwendet hatte. Da haben die schon mies gescheuert. Ne Jeans Cargo-Hose war da besser.
Mir erschliest sich aber generell auch net so wirklich warum ich als so ne Art Arbeiter cosplayen will...
Vor allem ist das Zeug von Strauß jetzt auch net super günstig. 50€ für Shorts ist schon eine Ansage tbh. Aber Hacker lieben vermute ich mal die vielen Taschen oder so. (I get that)

@MagicLike @rick Die sachen die ich von denen mal hatte (So Shorts) waren nett und alles aber comfy waren die nur ne bestimmte Zeit lang. Dadurch dass es "Workwear" ist der Stoff dicker und Steifer.
Ich hatte sicher schon sachen die comfier sind als Engelbert Strauß. Arbeitsschuhe musste ich zum Glück nie Tragen, aber comfy ist sicher was anderes. Und im Alltag wirste Stahlkappen nur selten sinnvoll finden. (Wenn du net grad ein Haus renovierst)
Als Hacker könnte man sich so richtig comfy kleiden. Nein Leute kaufen sowas...
Maybe thats just me. Ich liebe meine leichten Schuhe im Sommer. Im Winter hab ich auch kurze Stiefel aber bin schon net soo der Fan von denen

@desea It will really depend in the fabric and stuff. Learning the skills needed takes time for sure (like with everything).
But going with something simple as cotton and doing a shirt with like cheap cotton you might end up cheaper. If you need die and print that cost might be higher though.
Jeans denim I remember being quite expensive and you might need better/extra equipment to handle the thicker fabric and special very durable stitches.
The Cosplay I posted not to long ago uses like 10€/m cotton. both like a tad more than 60€.
The more special kind of fabric I wanted for cosplay cost a little more since its imported (thank you brits leaving the EU!) I am looking at about 100€ in material alone. Not withstanding stuff like Buttons and small things.
Economy of scale is a real thing in clothing plus sweatshops. Margins are insane
