85I do stuff with taxes for a living and occasionally touch server-stuff for a hobby (when I am not banging my head against it and want to throw it out the window)

@kirakira Yeah that sure is cool. I can do my sewing pattern with the computer as well which was very cool to do tbh.
Used seamly2d (its even FOSS) to make the pattern from a magazine. (they give you measurements of the pieces in the magazine)
Its cool to then print that design out and see it come to live in fabric.
The other cool I made a good while bag was utilities for tabletop so less math is needed

@lucxx very much feel you tbh.
For all its fucking flaws (and there is so so many) reddit does fill a niche for me atm. Where I can have one account on the site but be present in many communities that are focuses on special {thing}.
For me thats Lolita-Fashion or sewing as of late. I can ask people there on specific stuff like dyeing techniques...
The microblogging side is where I can talk to friends. Though I do use a seperate account to share my stuff from Sewing or other DIYs.
But yeah when my bubble would not reach into mkab (misskey-absturztaube) I would not have found as many people since puni has a kinda big service going lol.
Found one person, I made friends with as well, to talk properly on sewing.
I know lemmy is a thing as well but its the whole network-effect thong all over man...
