85I do stuff with taxes for a living and occasionally touch server-stuff for a hobby (when I am not banging my head against it and want to throw it out the window)
I love dressing girly occasionally, call me crossdresser. All future pics for that will be posted on my picdump-account on my sharkey-instance: https://shark.lightnovel-dungeon.de/@stefan (I will vet the followings there)
I also love sewing and reading (Light Novels especially)

@lucxx very much feel you tbh.
For all its fucking flaws (and there is so so many) reddit does fill a niche for me atm. Where I can have one account on the site but be present in many communities that are focuses on special {thing}.
For me thats Lolita-Fashion or sewing as of late. I can ask people there on specific stuff like dyeing techniques...
The microblogging side is where I can talk to friends. Though I do use a seperate account to share my stuff from Sewing or other DIYs.
But yeah when my bubble would not reach into mkab (misskey-absturztaube) I would not have found as many people since puni has a kinda big service going lol.
Found one person, I made friends with as well, to talk properly on sewing.
I know lemmy is a thing as well but its the whole network-effect thong all over man...

@lucxx dunno how much of it is your fault tbh. In general I also really do feel like that fedi does lean into another direction when it comes to interests.
Though I dunno if there are more gaming focused instances out there or not as well. Like I have seen Anime-focused...

The Internet was not a mistake.
The mistake was allowing everything to be about money and power rather than community building.
