Early Morning update! Lace has now dried. Looks pretty good to me. Fits better than pure white.

Note: The Camera does skew the color a bit. It looks a bit more brown to the naked eye.

Doing some fun things today. Testing coloring fabric with black tea!

I bought this lovely bunny lace for my ongoing project (The Lolita JSK). The only problem I had with it is that the bunnies on the fabric are rather off-white than white. So the lace would not fit the vibe.

Someone got me the idea to use like dye for it. So black tea it is. Looks good to me. Though it should lighten up as it dries. Will give you an update tomorrow morning.

From what I read online the process is pretty simple.

1. Clean the fabric in a mix of either salt or vinegar in water
2. Brew some tea (maybe make a cup for yourself as well 🍵)
3. put in the fabric / lace into the tea and stir from time to time.
4. When its done after one hour (for stronger colors you can leave overnight)
5. fix color with a mix of water and vinegar
6. wash in machine (not more than 40°C)
7. done
