@desea you can always edit the post to make that clear. But yeah I did read in thr other replies you wanted to know more on the show. So I kept it more general as well

@desea Its an interesting thing maybe but I never stomached reading more than half a book. Carlo Zen is said to write quite nice prose (for LN standards anyway) But the books are quite long-winded in their explanations...

The anime was fine I guess. For japanese media it is normally safe to assume its more anti-war than not. So I guess showing the gruesomeness and loopholes in war-laws can do that.

I just really hate the japanese fetish for german-ish inspired millitaries (though to be fair this is located in germany Rhine-Front and stuff)

I never did read far enough to give you a conclusive answer though. Tanya though is just opportunistic maybe?
