@aetios I hope we will be fine.

Conservatives... They just petty bitches. Its not the first or the last time. But I think/hope thinks can still happen. not everything is bad. The left will climb up again. The one fear is it being "too late"

This type of pettiness just shows how much they would like to deflect from their own mishaps.

Cheap populism instead of actually doing something useful.

@steph peak homeservering

@lyli Good morning cofe-cat

@puniko Morning puni

@puniko typical github things.

@aetios Yeah Time is an issue more often than not. I mostly stick to reading things by now.

Also dunno if anime is the right thing to have in the background while sewing as well. Subbed anime would be out of the question. So Dubs could work maybe. But I kinda do not feel like watching anime most of the time

@mia @aetios Yeah I see that But I enjoyed it very much. Even bought every light novel I could get my hands on. So fun and Yen Press made the bookcovers out of matte carton. Felt so good as well.

@bean Won't even harp on it too much lol (not wanna add more AI discussion to your life )

Calling out the bullshit is certainly important. And I thank the journos doing the work. But yeah consuming to much of it gets you sucked into that bubble eitherway and makes you think about it way too much. Life watching a train wreck happening live or something.

Good luck I wish you to curate a feed where yoi can avoid the topic But yeah you do have a point

@aetios As disq said its likely slopped or in the least very random here is the cut out of favorite anime instead using that site.

All cool shows. Each with their own little story attached why I like it. And you will also see that I don't watch anime as often anymore lol. Most stuff is old.

Though some of the anime does not do the source justice I think. Mostly Goblin Slayer and Danmachi though.

@SuperDicq @aetios Yeah I was testing around with it and the same input does not yield the same result very cool.

@fristi well aety did talk about "Engagement" once

I bought some manga again today.

Maybe I can get into reading again after dropping off.

The first one is Tower Dungeon after a recommendation of @weebdeluxe . It sounds like an interesting fantasy-series. You can get it in german via mangacult but I opted for the english-version from kodansha. mangacult does not have an E-Book for it while kodansha did.

A synopsis:

An evil necromancer slays the king and carries off his daughter, secreting her in the legendary Dragon Tower. To save the princess, her steadfast Royal Guard assays the stronghold, but the way is blocked by powerful eldritch creatures… So, to supplement their forces in the face of mounting casualties, they press ordinary folks from the surrounding villages into service—including Yuva, a sturdy young farmboy with a strong back but no experience in battle, and only a battered old helm and wooden shield to protect him. Master of science fiction Tsutomu Nihei (Blame!, Knights of Sidonia) turns his unique storytelling voice and architectural eye to fantasy for the first time, offering a dark, gritty tale of swords and sorcery, bravery and adventure, great heroes and ultimate evil. Gird your loins, heft your blade, and enter the Dragon Tower.

Sounds like a good time. I bought the first two volumes of it.

The second manga was mentioned in the r/Lolita-Subreddit. It was discussed there earlier but I found it in a thread about male Lolita

Its “On and Off: Work-Life Imbalance” published in english by PenguinRandomHouse

(yes thats a publisher; seemingly even a giant one lol and is owned by Bertelsmann of all things; the Blockes that also own Trash-TV RTL)

Dunno its premise kinda hooked me here xD

A Lolita boy and a punk girl form a fashion-forward bond without realizing they already know each other from work! There are two sides to every working adult: one they show when they’re on the job, and one they show when they’re off the clock. For coworkers Sotaro Amata and Akira Hanku, this holds doubly true. Outside the office, these fashionistas don outfits that metamorphose them into completely different people! So what happens when they form a connection after hours…without recognizing who the other person is?

The volumes are rather short but maybe I will read the first volume shortly. Sounds fun as well.

@kadse uhm.
