You do you and good luck on keeping that stance tbh. Waiting for your fork of linux then. /j (I know you can have a stance while not going to the other extreme)
I do generally see more and more projects that used AI in some capacity. Dunno if they would exist without AI or not. Maybe not as fast.
Someone is working on postmarket for FP6 making it better that is. Which has me obvs. conflicted. Like I am with you that AI is REALLY bad.
Like the question is would we have better postmarket on FP6 without it? Sure. But how long would that take?
Dunno how I stand on it atm for coding especially in an open source stuff. Or some other cool stuff like reverse engeneering stuff (not emulator related) I have a mod for a game that adds a nice mode to the game making more streamlined. AI was used for reverse-engeneering the game for hooking into it.
For art and creative stuff. Yeah fuck AI. Fuck this thing making everything worse. People losing their livelihoods and stuff.
Though open source is mostly volunteer work. So having more better code for more devices is better? I dunno.
The question gets more and more complicated tbh.
