The first half project is finished for today.

As I told you yesterday I did cut up a dress yesterday. And the skirt part is already done up again. I mean the zipper I may have done more elegant but tbh I really hate these concealed zippers since the snag so easily and get stuck. Though they are more out of the way and elegant for sure.

If I wanted to conceal it I could obvs. add a flap to it. Maybe I will do that later. It makes for such a nice skirt for sure.

And yeah I had a red zipper on hand so why not use it?

I bought another sailor outfit recently sadly it does match the color of this one to use its fabric for the top. But it had a nice red bow with it that I attached to the left side here. Looks cute.

Also I should likely not use a petticoat here or one that is way less poofy. Since the pleats of the skirt otherwise don’t really work. Oh well. I will post some other pics without that petty some other day when the top is more finished.

I need to gush you a little bit about the shoe choice here as well. I know not totally appropriate for a sailor outfit but wanted to show them off.

I do have some nice heeled loafers from KOI coming in soon that will look great with the whole outfit here and fit that sailor style.

Here I decided to show the nice patent high heels in a oxford style from onlymaker. I always liked them for their look. They do come with a nice orange sole as well. Though the last pair I had did not live through a day outside. So these are inside only and for photos.

Adding some red vinyl makes them sure more alluring. You like shoes of a certain french brand (which won’t fit me due to sizing and are fucking expensive…)

So makes it cheaper and is more than good enough for photoshoots. hehe. I did use vinyl instead of like paints since it should last better and can be easily removed.

Also bonus points for the person who knows why the bow is on the left side here Yes it fit there but you could read some other reason into it…

Well other small repair is done.

One of the eyelets of my selfmade skirt has ripped out (happens when not enough fabric is there and its not super grippy).

So put some fabric under the whole zig-zagged it to close it. Made a new hole and added a new eyelet.

So its ready again for next weeks CSD in Freiburg

Doing some smaller stuff today. Adding a zipper back to the skirt and fix an eyelet on the lolita skirt.

Still contemplating what to do about the top. I think generally that a two piece set is cooler than the dress itself. Obvs. I will need to make the top wider and add length to it. But how to do it. I don't really have enough of the same fabric to do both

@hiker @AutodidaktundAnalystJoerg Ist halt gerade überall so ein generelles problem das die politische Linke insgesamt einfach hat. Man ist dort viel zu sehr mit Grabenkämpfen innerhalb der Strömungen beschäftigt und damit dass was wir haben zu verteidigen. Man ist eigentlich die ganze Zeit in der Defensive sodass das Rechte immer mehr an Macht gewinnen kann und den Diskurs bestimmen kann.

Sieht man gut hier in Deutschland wie sich eigentlich alles (außer die Partei die Linke) nach rechts bewegt hat. Traurigerweise sind da auch die Grünen mit dabei und ich hab auch deswegen öfter überlegt die wieder zu verlassen.

In Deutschland gibt es gerade leider eine rechte Mehrheit sodass Linke vorschläge einfach verhallen.

Ich hätte aber zumindest gedacht dass die Direkte Demokratie in der Schweiz da bissle besser aufgestellt ist weil man in den Initiativen den Rechten sicherlich wesentlich einfacher etwas entgegensetzen kann (was dann auch gesetz werden kann, wenn genug mitmachen).

Mir ist klar dass Direkte Demokratie hier in Deutschland nicht funktionieren kann (andere Umstände) aber ich hätte doch gedacht das man in der Schweiz als Linke leichter aus der Defensive kommt weil man tatsächlich Linke Politik forcieren könnte. Das könnte sich dann verbreiten wenn die Leute sehen dass es funktioniert. Ich weiß aber auch nicht ob die Mehrheiten für sowas da sind.

das macht den Vorschlag der rechten Dullies (die haben diese Diffamierung verdient) nicht besser aber das man sie einfach machen lässt (wie so oft grad in Deutschland leider auch) ist traurig.
