@aetios oh yeah AI can be hideos really. Well there is certainly other games with better AI in it. Just would need to look around. But Assetto Corsa is moddable its genuine fun.

I may have some laps in that M3 Touring GT3 later (yes it exists and its a wagon)

Ah yes nothing like racing some AI in Assetto Corsa. They are so unaware its kinda funny and sad at the same time.

I was racing at the Nürburgring GP against some older Ferarri lol. Rocket on the straight but worse than my Clio Cup Car down the corners. I was keeping it at bay by getting some gap through the corners but it would catch me on the straights. Lap 4 the AI decided: "lets end this man" and spun me

I did manage to catch it afterwards sadly. p2 in the end.

btw don't ask me why the ferrari has audio desync xD

But we had a dude playing on a gamepad. I was never too much of a fan on gamepads for "proper" Sims. Though assetto Corsa can be played with ome

Like I was taking part in some series this year and last year but it was all organized on discord sadly. And since I am trying to use discord less by now and I left that server.

I was having genuine fun though. I wonder if I could do something similar-ish with people on here

Basically what we did on there was having a so called Monthly Short Series. The admin (mostly, sometimes with a poll) would pick a car and three tracks each month and we would have some proper racing on tuesdays doing 2x 20min races.

Had much fun in some BARC Pickups, Mazda MX5 CUP, Suzuki Altos (660series) and some older Civic Cup Cars.

Cup cars are so much fun.

I wonder if fedi has other people that would wanna do that as well? Though figuring out a rules framework and all the other stuff sounds horrifiying.

I enjoyed that series because you were racing other people but the vibe was good and welcoming and its not just GT3s.
