@mttaggart Not to be mean to you or anything but I don't a small scale non-profit and such a big thing as blender are the same.
The report you linked does not look bad in the slightest. Looks rather well even. They seem to focus their money where it counts: The devs. Chairman does not take home all that much.
The Cost seems controlled and they have balanced sheets. Everything thats left over goes to the piggybank as well. Looking at the report years prior they have been saving pretty well. So they won't be in jepardy when even a few years they have to cover some costs using it.
Having 240k a year from anthropic or not won't make or break blender as a foundation really.
Even though most their work is sponsored by these big donors. (~50%)
Pretty sure blender would have other ways of raising more money before selling themselves to anthropic for 240k. Oh well we will see. Certainly they won't go under. They are just a too nice thing for big corps to miss out on. Certainly cheaper than any other 3d-thingie on the market
