Just a normal bunny-boy (not really) with a cute pink hat
I do stuff with taxes for a living and occasionally touch server-stuff for a hobby (when I am not banging my head against it and want to throw it out the window)

I love dressing girly occasionally, call me crossdresser. All future pics for that will be posted on my picdump-account on my sharkey-instance: https://shark.lightnovel-dungeon.de/@stefan (I will vet the followings there)

I also love sewing and reading (Light Novels especially)
@volpeon literal block evasion!

Once again, I didn’t have my great camera with me. But I had one. And that’s the best one you could ask for.

@revengeday tbh this post/thread surely got me thinking a little. But have a big fat hug first alright? akko_hug

I hope you don't mind just dumping some thoughts here, though I would not consider myself part of that subculture?

I do kinda feel like though I have heard stuff like this from people, who are part of this the goth or punk (not cyber blobcatblep ) subculture.

They described it as plain old capitalism in the end more or less. So basically something gets popular and reaches an audience. And stuff will be made around that where money is to be made (just look at what happened with Squid Game as well). Stuff gets packaged and sold back to the community basically. And somewhere along the line stuff gets lost. Be it the DIY-nature or what you describe for your community as well.

I think its cool to hear the community is (or was?) a safe space for queers. Very much hacker. Sad to hear it got co-opted by exactly what cyberpunk critisized: a dystopic vision of the future where corps have taken the world to them.

Is this kinda a 1984 situation? Who the fuck thought cyberpunk was some sort of template for the future. This should have been a cautionary tale. Not a playbook….

Though the post also got me thinking if I am "part" of the problem? Not in the sense of the cyberpunk comm. But rather maybe the goth/alternative scene.

You know I got into fem-fashion quite some years ago now (even though I am confident about just for a few years). And well finding nice fem-clothing than can fit a male-bodytype. So I did somehow land on some brands you may consider "alternative". I loved the "aesthetic" the bold and colorful design. But I am not really what you would consider "goth" or "punk", I guess.

I do feel like though atleast it made me feel like I actually look good while staying myself just being a bit more bold and loud on the outside. It also inspired me to go more DIY. Though that was a bit more of a nessacity to make some stuff fit on myself and falling in love with cosplay.

Though I still worry I appropriate a subculture I am not really a part of. Not because of the cosplay, I feel at home in that community. But rather in terms of Goth-elements I do use for some of my Outfits.

Though I would never even think about trying to displace people already in those communities. I am just an enjoyer of different fashion...

@kura I don't really think I will find any alternative thats also sustainable but I think it is a good idea to ask around People I can trust first before actually buying an expensive thing.

Used market also does not seem that much cheaper than new after they dropped 50 € at fairphone (seemingly), also that green color seems to be sold less?
