@quad In the end I could not care less about gentoo. Dunno how big the security implications are really for something like XC but whatever. I don't know enough about the subject matter nor I do Incolve much with such desicions.

@quad @kaia XC is just more simple than vaultwarden, bitwarden as well. And no keepass or even pass are not a suitable replacement. But yeah QT5 is EoL since last year from what I read.

So gentoo-maintainer has a point. But being so hostile and making that package so hard to install. I dunno if thats the way. With arch something like this would just land in the AUR. But its gentoo pretty sure you can build from source if needed?

Normal Keepass is fine yeah but XC is just more modern and the browser-integration is very useful
