@mezzodrinker @areon Also: Most of them are started by authors as novices anyway. It will depend heavily on the knowledge of the author how descriptive a book can be. Most I would say are rather barren in that regard but exceptions exist

@Erpel kinda sad that these hybrid-graphics laptops are such an issue on Linux. A mobile 1080 (which is really a 1070) is still pretty capable. Sucks that nvidia had to do everything different on linux.
I hope you do have some fun times playing some games ahead of you. I can really relate to that problem. Just last week when Assetto Corsa decided to be rough even though proton-version did not even change and it worked before.

@WolvericCatkin @privateger I guess the question then becomes when "realism" stops being something you should strive for. Like only doing realism that does not benefit gameplay adds nothing.
Sim Racing tends to go down that rabbit hole way to often.
Though I guess for a tactical shooter you can do this. We will see if it actually enhances strategy and gameplay or is just nuisance. Then again not really playing CS.

@neatchee @privateger dunno if you would consider CS2 that old though
Just looked CS2 released 2023 so its not that far into the "lifecycle" if you think about CS:GO had 10 years
