Just a normal bunny-boy (not really) with a cute pink hat
I do stuff with taxes for a living and occasionally touch server-stuff for a hobby (when I am not banging my head against it and want to throw it out the window)

I love dressing girly occasionally, call me crossdresser. All future pics for that will be posted on my picdump-account on my sharkey-instance: https://shark.lightnovel-dungeon.de/@stefan (I will vet the followings there)

I also love sewing and reading (Light Novels especially)
@Erpel Ah yes corpo speak is lovely where "restructuring" is just fancy speak for "Cutting cost by letting people go"

@Erpel @catraxx But the shareholders! Think the SHAREHOLDERS and Execs Erpel!

Obviously they need money from the government YESTERDAY to fix. Oh sadly we have to let go of workers otherwise.... buhuu.

ffs.

@Erpel Ah yes. In typical capitalist fashion. Some things never change. Leveraging workers when its convinient for them to get a bailout after not innovating and getting their ass handed to them by china.

Urgh.

If more people post their off-the-cuff drawings, then you promote others too as well. This is one way you create a culture of creation.

For instance, shitposting with a drawing instead of a meme from the internet. blobcat_fu_drawing_normal

@azucat just ask the german minister for economy who is merely a sock puppet for the fossil-lobby.

Renewables have that one weekness that they can be hard predict and one has to take care to avoid oversupply straining the grid but also get stability that is needed when stuff just may not be ideal.

Our neighbors to the north have solved that problem with lots of water which is great for storing energy since water is more plentyful there (dunno if it HAS to be sweet water for storage)

European energy prices and merit order can make things a bit obtuse as well though.

@NeonPurpleStar @rick Obviously going with the cheap LNG from russia was not the greatest Idea in hindsight. Sure but again it was never really used all that much for electricity anyway. 15% more less for the last decades really.

Germany should have pushed more on its peers for electricity but I cannot the russian gas being used for this purpose. More likely its heating and for that having or not having nuclear is irrelevant.

Like 40% of heating is gas. Thats why the LNG was needed not to substitute nuclear

It does not in any way (in my view) turn it in a was where we should not have done the step.

@fabos Just look at how much is spent each year on that stuff still. Its sickening...

@NeonPurpleStar @rick They would not been any cheaper. Most of the electricity was not made by gas but coal. Using gas for electricity instead of heating is prohibitibly expensive and only really for emergencies where you have nothing else.

But as I already nuclear just appears cheap. It actually is not. But subsidies do their job

@NeonPurpleStar I am sorry. Like no. It was certainly not. Like nuclear power only seems so cheap since its heavily subsidized by taxpayers. The state is bearing the responsibility of getting the waste somewhere safe and we still have no solution and there is no solution even in sight. Costs a lot of money.

It is insane how much we still spend on that stuff.

Also Water and cooling is getting harder and harder. Look at france for that.

Am I happy that instead we use a lot of coal for electricity? Nope. Gas even worse.

But also I want to blame politics so much here. They killed germanys good solar panel industry and doing the same with heatpumps.

Tech moved on and photovoltaik really came to its own. With a battery you will be very happy.

Wind could need more of an uplift but NIMBYs be like they are...

Still I think it was and still is the right desicion.
