@NeonPurpleStar @rick Obviously going with the cheap LNG from russia was not the greatest Idea in hindsight. Sure but again it was never really used all that much for electricity anyway. 15% more less for the last decades really.

Germany should have pushed more on its peers for electricity but I cannot the russian gas being used for this purpose. More likely its heating and for that having or not having nuclear is irrelevant.

Like 40% of heating is gas. Thats why the LNG was needed not to substitute nuclear

@NeonPurpleStar @rick They would not been any cheaper. Most of the electricity was not made by gas but coal. Using gas for electricity instead of heating is prohibitibly expensive and only really for emergencies where you have nothing else.

But as I already nuclear just appears cheap. It actually is not. But subsidies do their job

@NeonPurpleStar I am sorry. Like no. It was certainly not. Like nuclear power only seems so cheap since its heavily subsidized by taxpayers. The state is bearing the responsibility of getting the waste somewhere safe and we still have no solution and there is no solution even in sight. Costs a lot of money.

It is insane how much we still spend on that stuff.

Also Water and cooling is getting harder and harder. Look at france for that.

Am I happy that instead we use a lot of coal for electricity? Nope. Gas even worse.

But also I want to blame politics so much here. They killed germanys good solar panel industry and doing the same with heatpumps.

Tech moved on and photovoltaik really came to its own. With a battery you will be very happy.

Wind could need more of an uplift but NIMBYs be like they are...

Still I think it was and still is the right desicion.

You know reading an article on the german taz about 15 years of the disaster in Fukushima (happened tomorrow 15 years ago) makes it even more obvious how we should not use nuclear-power anymore.

Yet the EU and von der Leyen be like: Yes we want to subsidize R&D for miniature nuclear.

@moppi Panik hab ich da keine. Es ist halt nur ein Programmpunkt aber da gibts noch weitere Strömungen innerhalb der Linken die mir missfallen.

Hat aber auch nur bedingt was damit zu tun dass das Wählen mir da schwerfällt.

Seien es so Sachen wie die Friedenspolitik rund um die Ukraine, oder die durchaus vorhandene Gewaltbereitschaft im Extremen Spektrum von der man sich aus meiner Sicht nicht genug abgrenzt. Wie du sagst die Linke ist weit gefächert.

Aber man wird ja selten 100% mit einer Partei übereinstimmen. Klar. An den Grünen hab ich auch genug zu meckern aber ich bin dabei das man sagt man muss alle mitnehmen können und anreize schaffen damit z.B. Klimaschutz ganzheitlich klappt.

Aber die Linke kann halt auch alleine und gegen die Mehrheit keine Politik machen. Also muss man ne Mehrheit überzeugen dass der Linke weg richtig ist. Und da gibt es sicher mehr als genug Mauern in den Köpfen der Leute sicher auch jener die Kommunismus erlebt haben

Die Frage is auch wie man das Beamtentum reformieren will. Ganz ohne wirst net auskommen. Sind eine wertvolle Resource und auch notwendig einfach weil besondere Verpflichtungen da sind.

Es ist so dass man als Beamter dem Grundgesetz verpflichtet und an sich erstmal nur diesem. Auf Eid geschworen es zu achten und zu schützen. Also in der Theorie ist man auch verpflichtet offen verfassungsfeindliche Dinge nicht zu tun.

Ob dann aber die Weisungsgebundheit gegenüber der Behörde gewinnt weiß ich nicht. Man bräuchte halt die Rückendeckung der Chefs um sowas durchzuziehen. Kündigen ist ja net. Aber sanktionen (auch zunächst unrechtmäßige nur um das Leben kaputt zu machen) reichen ka schon um wenn loszuwerden.

Gut das in den Verwaltungen immerhin keine Wahlbeamten sind
