@tlapka Tbh one can certainly disagree with what mastodon is or is not.
But I never thought that Eugen was a bad person, I never met him after all. And tbh one has to recognize what he did.
you can obviously disagree with stuff but after all we all are fighting the same fight. Just approaches are a little bit different.

I may not agree with everything that masto done until this point but certainly one has to recognize how much it and Eugen did so me and my newfound friends have this precious little place where we can talk to each other and share slices of our lives without ads or other corporate incentives.
I just really hope that due to him stepping down CEO but stay as an advisor mastodon does not change for the worst.

This is interesting. Giving some perspective on the "The rich would just move when we tax them more".
Likely those who would actually move have had no incentive to live other than taxes anyway. (If they even paid those)
