@NeonPurpleStar Yeah tbh I cannot understand this as well. Maybe its a desperate attempt to appear "normal" in the eyes of the transphobes?

Also I guess hitting down onto trans-people and other queer individuals is just easier than standing aside these people and getting attacked by the right-wingers (again)

I do think they are making a big big mistake, forgetting. As if the right will stop at scapegoating the inter, queer and trans people. They will come for the gays, lesbians and bisexuals eventually. Right now they are just seeing what they can get away with.

Atleast its just a part of the gays that thinks this way. But yeah the queer-community is made up of diverse people with sometimes very different opinions.

Small tangent for you as well. This is not even a behaviour that is specifically only. Its a thing as a whole.

You know my parents came to germany in the 90s through a special program that allowed people who are "descendants of Germans from the former Soviet Union and other countries in Eastern Europe who have established their residence in Germany by means of a special acceptance process." (Ethnic German resettlers, https://www.bamf.de/EN/Themen/MigrationAufenthalt/Spaetaussiedler/spaetaussiedler-node.html)

My parents came like that as well. And I am baffled that hate against refugees is kinda a thing in these communities as well. The German far right is quite strong in districts where there are a lot of resettlers.)

Resettlers were displaced and lost their home when the eastern part of germany after the nazis were ended. The resettlers were displaced from the land then they hate on refugees... Have they forgotten their own history? Its kinda sad.

Anyway sorry for that tangent

@amoonrabbit Some of these I even know the label of. Though I did not buy these specific albums yet.

I have Rave Inside Vol. 2 in my collection. Used to love it now I am mostly skipping that one. So maybe Vol 3 brings something fresh again. I will see.

The LV4 one sounded interesting from having a short listen.

Omoide-Label can be so hit or miss for me. I once bought their whole Discography (it is cheap lol). But oh boy the label has some very weird experimental stuff going on.

ZTS I might skip since its Game music not really too much into listening for that standalone

But thank you for the recommends blobcatheart

stefan (stefbun)

Hey fedi wanna recommend me some music?

I am kinda like always on the lookout for new stuff to add to my collection. So recommend me your favorite albums or songs.

Some requirements though:
- Bring me your best EDM; Techno, House Drum&Bass... You know the drill, everything that fits the bill.
- has to be availiable on either bandcamp (preffered) or Apple Music since I wanna buy and own my music.

Bonus Points if you wanna drop a link and explain stuff. I am happy to hear your thoughts on why you like it but its not needed.

@NeonPurpleStar sometimes venting is important as well. Just getting something out of you might help.

I like doing that as well, as you might have seen on my venting posts lol

Today I have seen the idea of poisoning image alt text with lies or other nonsense to make data scraping harder. I have little doubt about it working, sounds like something that would prove effective.

However, I will refuse to engage in this behaviour. To me, the function of alt text is not to train AI models. True, it may be a side effect of it. But were I to begin fighting that, I'd lose the main function; I would no longer be providing assistance to the genuine people behind the screen that rely on alt text, for any reason from a list too long to enumerate in this post. Or new ones I hadn't even considered, but should have seen coming.

By all means, fight the good fight. But please remember the people you are doing it for while you are at it. Alt text may not be the medium to take.

Writing inaccurate alt text to spoil its usefulness to LLM scrapers is such a misguided idea. I can't help but think it'd only come from people who are not and don't know anyone who benefits from images being described.

Because if they did, they'd know that there are already PLENTY poorly- or non-decribed images on the web. You don't need to add to that number!

And even if it became common, it'd still be a small fraction of an LLM's training data. So it wouldn't work. It'd just hurt humans.
