Darin wird vor allem auf die Beteiligung der Polizei und von Banken kritisch Stellung genommen.

Ich übersehe hier sicher etwas aber mir kommt die Kritik generell zu undifferenziert und pauschal rüber. So nachdem Motto "ACAB". Alle scheiße egal wer da arbeitet, egal ob queer oder nicht. Egal ob man selbst sowas supported. Wir stecken alle irgendwie in eine Schublade.

Kanns doch auch net sein. Queere Menschen existieren auch in den Behörden und auch sie verdienen Respekt und es ist sicher gut Leute innerhalb einer Organisation zu haben die eigene Werte teilen und auch helfen können?

Ich arbeite selber auch in einer Behörde und ich selbst kenne nur Menschen die hier ihr bestes geben. Klar hats hier auch Probleme...

Selbst nach Schaffung des SBGG kann ich bei uns in den Daten nur "Herrn" oder "Frau" für natürliche Personen hinterlegen. Unsere (automatischen) Schreiben werden also so bedruckt. Das Problem hat man gemeldet aber passiert ist bisher nix weil Programm mehrerer Bundesländer. Sowas dauert leider. In der Zwischenzeit setzen wir nen Merker dass nix automatisch versendet wird und machen das alles manuell richtig.

Queeres Fedi erzählt mir mal mehr von euren Erlebnissen mit den Behörden. Ist wirklich alles so schlimm das man die Behörden von CSDs ausschließen muss? Und ist breiter Support der Öffentlichkeit nicht auch wichtig.

Mir hat das auf alle Fälle viel bedeutet dass mich offiziell (mit Segnung und unter Flagge meines Arbeitgebers) so präsentieren konnte wie ich bin. Und ich bin mir sicher den Menschen bei der Polizei und den Banken geht das ähnlich. Und ich habe dort auch nette Kollegen treffen können.

I just be fortunate enough not see alot of that. That one instance might be dansup or something. But normally my bubble is fairly free of shitty behaviour. I pick people I follow and only really look at my follow-timeline. I never use the federated one. That said I am a single user on my server so it would not look too different. Your post just made it to me as someone I follow boosted it. And it seemed like an interesting thing to me.

generally I do trust the people I follow to not be shit. And people use stuff responsibly or sometimes for fun. Though I do also see why quotes might be considered problematic. But tbh bad actors will be bad no matter.

Or do you mean when you get a notif when someone boosts your post? I thought for some time to disable those "x boosted your post" and "x favorited your post" thingies.

Though the favorites can be a nice indicator of "x has seen your post" as well. But they also can clutter up your notifs quickly. Maybe burriying the notifs for replys.

@stephaniepixie tools given can be used in many ways. It will highly depend on your bubble and for the servers the communities they nurtured.

There is so much controversies around edits and quote post. Other software (read not mastodon) had that stuff for some time shows that it can work.

But its that people just need to not be assholes. In my circles is either used for correcting mistakes after posting (how I use it mostly) or to add information learned later to the original post.

Quotes are kinda the same. It is also kinda funny that you show how kinda useless mastodons proposal for “controlling quote-posts” is.
