Just a normal bunny-boy (not really) with a cute pink hat
I do stuff with taxes for a living and occasionally touch server-stuff for a hobby (when I am not banging my head against it and want to throw it out the window)

I love dressing girly occasionally, call me crossdresser. All future pics for that will be posted on my picdump-account on my sharkey-instance: https://shark.lightnovel-dungeon.de/@stefan (I will vet the followings there)

I also love sewing and reading (Light Novels especially)
@pixel @rick Ostermontag be like. Hoffe mal das klappt nach Düsseldorf weil die Bahn ja einfach meinen Zug ausfallen lässt hab ich ja keine Reservierung mehr

@thudfactor @alexseifert Normally updates are only ever really problematic when WP is detached from its core with way too many plugins. The Problem is not WP I think its the sea plugins people love to use which break with updates.

There is not much stuff for in the way to get creating. Though my "workflow" might be different from yours.

I usually write my texts elsewhere, copy the into WP and do all the rest like add images and stuff. Though I could just login and just start typing as well. WP did not fail for me for a long time.

@alexseifert @thudfactor I feel like its fine tbh. I just don't use that Block editor (only in very select edge cases) and still use that classic editor.

There is a plugin Classic Editor which does exactly what it says. Great thing.

Otherwise upkeep for me is rather minimal anyway. I use a standard-Theme I have modified and not too many plugins. So maintaining that blog is easy. WP updates itself. Only the Plugins I do manually ever, now and then.

@stefan Finally managed to write together that blogpost. While you can read it here on fedi I generally recommend reading it writefreely itself. Fedi might not like how I just hot-linked the images from my nextcloud, so they appear quite small on here. The images might take a bit too load upload at home from my nextcloud ain't the best

Here is the link if you need it: https://write.lightnovel-dungeon.de/a-long-way-to-my-first-proper-self-made-cosplay

@volpi Also to you volpeon I generally like LanguageTool / WritingTool as an Aid (even without AI) It does explain stuff to you a lot of time and not only marks errors

You may need to weed out some unneccessary things in some style guides depending on context. Like stuff being "too casual" though I guess I could just deactivate that rule

> In addition to a spelling, grammar and style checker based on LanguageTool, it provides statistical methods for optimizing texts as well as AI support (in development).

okay.... lets hope it does not go to shit, it does seem to improve on the LO-extension of LanguageTool.

> Support for (local) AI:

atleast its going to be local?

> Supplement to the grammar check
Generation, improvement, rewriting, expansion and translation of paragraphs
Creating illustrations for a paragraph

> supporting OpenAI like API (Local applications such as https://localai.io are particularly supported)

It does include impress and calc as well which might be helpful.

*Looks at website: *Impressum* *squints* wait that is made by german.... *clicks* sure is

Maybe this one is also interesting for @volpi See the website: https://writingtool.org

TIL. LanguageTool isn't really working with libreoffice anymore. But there is WritingTool based on LanguageTool that works with LibreOffice. The world of forks is sure interesting...

@mametsuko good morning mame. Tofu doing terror again?

I did notice that when I stayed at my brothers house over the weekend lol. Cats do notice when you wake up and they meow at you to feed them. No chance of just staying in bed

But still enjoy your early morning mame blobcatmorningcoffee

The UK now has the world's first ETCS-enabled steam locomotive, because we're a very silly country.

@Chalkllate It is interesting. I have like 2 accounts. One is my "personal" and the other is a more "branded" account for my blog. I dunno if generally a lot of people see my posts or not. I am on my own mini-island instance after all.

For my blog account thats certainly a thing. But the thing is. I don't use that one that much. So obviously not a lot of people follow it or interact there. It also does not follow many people. Obviously it isn't discovered.

My private account is way more used I follow many (for my standards) different people and so my timeline is very lively. I don't get like that much interaction when I post something myself. But mostly screaming into the void is fine there.

I do like to leave replies though (like this one) hoping for some nice discussion.

Follow people around and they will fill your timeline with cool stuff eventually

@volpi The most Introvert-Trait ever to exist: Loving to tell about stuff you like in (unasked?) detail. Gotta love it.

I do get the "wanting to write well part" that can be kinda hard. I would atleast like to think that writing my (Light Novel focused) Blog maybe helped me with that a bit. Though I guess my reviews of stuff have a certain structure nowadays...

Like I am not writing the well versed stuff and my sentences can be a bit weird sometimes (like missing words or just the sentence structure being out of whack)

So I had a friend which helped me with that part ( and I would in turn tell him waaaay to often to split overly long sentences). Nowadays he sadly is doing a lot of stuff for work and college so he doesn't have the time for that.

So nowadays I only can really rely on my common sense, reading the text out loud and use stuff like LanguageTool which tends to help well in my cases, since I tend to miss punctuation and words a lot. (Or just misspell stuff)

I do really hope you can find something that works out for you. I think the post written with passion are the best. I do tend to struggle to write on stuff which is just "there" in terms of a book. Not offense but not super great. But I could likely talk your ear off about books I really live and die for.

PS: This thread is really interesting read. Again Volpeon Bonus Content delievering nice discussions blobcatheart
