I have troubles with hetzner. Does anybody know how to get through new account verification and not get banned?

@yura I will just be so bold to just cc this @mia Maybe she can help you out, I know her to be quite knowledgeable about stuff with hetzner

@stefan @yura well i have no experience with their current verification measures, and when lexi signed up for hetzner cloud it had different procedures from dedicated servers (e.g. requiring a small advance payment)

basically make sure your information is accurate and e.g. the name you sign up with matches the one your payment provider or bank has (in general that means your legal name and i suspect that’s a reason some trans people got banned with no explanation)

back when i singed up for dedicated server hosting, i had to snail mail them a signed contract

@stefan @yura it’s also possible that having an address in ukraine is a factor. might have to contact their support staff about it

BTW, about providing ID (sending passport photos), any idea if they want completely cut photos or otherwise photos that show additional details around?

Also I'm thinking about attaching in advance something like utility bills lists showing the real address.

i don’t know, sorry… i assume it’s going to be similar to KYC practices e.g. banking providers are legally obligated to
