@stefan I did actually try conduit, but it had a weird issue where some of the room participants were completely invisible, so I had to switch to conduwuit.
I did also have to rejoin that room, so it might be possible that regular conduit would have worked, but I'm pretty happy with conduwuit.

I remember one of the frequent complains is that homeservers often gets overloaded when a user tries to join large rooms or somesuch
