streetcomplete now allows for adding new points of interests like trash cans, hydrants etc.

but OSM is in read only mode for database maintenance?

@Johann150 streetcomplete is a thingie to use to add stuff to OSM?

@stefan ye, mobile app for android so you can map while you’re looking at the thing. mostly for adding details of stuff that is already mapped (e.g. what pavement is on this street? is this bicycle parking protected from rain? what are the opening times of this place?)

but apparently as above you can now also add new things too, mostly things that are just one point tho.

anybody know when the database maintenance will be over? seems like it’s been going since 2024-12-15 04:00 UTC
