this feels really like the first time Scholz has shown leadership.

@bartholin he fired the finance minister and party leader of a minor coalitition partner. the dude publically demanded a different way after finding a compromise with his coalition partners.

now he hold a speech and Scholz never really addressed the public in any meaningful manner. now he hold a very strong speech (especially for his standards)

it might be the speech of his life because it can be assumed the current government failed. new elections are assumed to be in march.


it all happened in the last 60 minutes so some facts still might be wrong

@bartholin for context: the finance minister is a neo liberal party dude. his party is polling below 5% currently. he wanted less taxes for rich people, less money for poor people. and he apparently even threatened ukrainian support over it.

all that after coming to an agreement with his partners....
