is netcup actually good?

looking up what other fedi users are saying some have said it's fine and others say they aren't that great

the prices are rather nice though, especially given how much storage space they provide

@mikoto they work fine for me for years af this point. I got a rootserver from them that runs the blog, this instance and my matrix-server.

I don't have used their storage offers yet the 120 GB seem to be just fine at the moment. So can't commenton that.

Latency to canada might be a thing though.

Their IPv6 is I think hillariously bad though. Or maybe its me being too stupid to get it working...

@stefan I mean for my purposes latency isn't that huge of a consideration, maybe ssh sessions will be a bit laggy but that's mostly it

Canada is lagging behind on that. Their peering is probably awful.

@mikoto @lispi314 oh btw it might be of interest to you that netcup also has Servers in the US now. Manassas, Virginia. You can get their VPS x86 and Root-Servers there. At least what they state in a german news they published.

@stefan @mikoto Ah, the "Latency to Canada" bit got me confused.
