Japan has some truly crazy trains, so while I was there I tried to ride a bunch of them.

@notjustbikes what did you end up using to book in advance? During our last trip I tried through the official JR apps, but they were super confusing. And that's coming from someone booking SNCF on regular basis...

@notjustbikes I really have experienced that I booked normal Shinkansen for business trip and the pink car came into the station. It really happens.

It shows off some of the more interesting trains in japan. Why do I now also want to have such cool trains in germany? It would be fun for the weekend.
