@aetios Tbh I was fucking send somewhere really bad by fearmongering. I needed a friend to get my head straight in the middle of the night to get some more sleep at that point

@aetios I do have much respect for you right now to just (somehow) shrug it off. It is the right thing though

@stefan ever since the Dutch national elections in november which were a big shock to me too, i have been thinking what i can do to help to educate people more against the recent populist developments. i dont really have an answer yet.

@aetios The correct way to do things. My friend also said similar like are they really a threat *right now* or are you dooming for no reason

@aetios Well looking at the results the afd got and how they break down. It is the people who the afd hates the most that give them the votes. People who are not well off or are immigrants vote afd.

They offer simple answers for very complicated matters which entices people paralyzed by ... well everything by now.

I do think its also a question of

a) being dissapointed in the german government in our case (lots of people they voted how they did because of local politics instead of european stuff)

b) is maybe the political education that is missing in especially these groups of people.

Then there is the case of East-Germany lol. There is such a clear divide in who won the most votes where. Though tbh our conservatives to trade blows with them almost everywhere.

There is just lots of dissapointment going around atm. But boy france did take like the worst exit there is.
