Ich hab heute mal Slash-Quilting ausprobiert weil das bei dem Rock an den ich gerade bastele. Dafür hab ich mir dann auch den Slash-Cutter von Clover gegönnt. Klar hätte ich die Schnitte auch mit ner Schere machen können aber da mit nem Schneider durchzufahren. Macht auch Spaß lol. Vor dem Waschen war ich noch bissle unsicher. Aber nachdem Waschen ist das so

Man stapelt im Grunde ein paar Stücke Stoff und näht die dann mit einer Menge Nähten zusammen die Parallel verlaufen. Dann nimmt man sich ne Schere oder eben so einen Slash-Cutter und schneidet alle Lagen außer der untersten innerhalb der "Kanäle die da entstanden sind

Im Grunde ist der Slash-Cutter so ein Rollschneider bei dem die Klinge festgemacht ist Und dann ist da dieser Guide der hilft die Gerade Schnitte zu machen. Die Klinge wird allerdings auch schnell stumpf. Allerdings werden immer kleine Segmente beim Schneiden verwendet. Man kann dann aber die Klinge bissle weiter drehen und hat wieder was frisches.

That moment when you order your PCB wrong and instead of LDO Voltage Regulator I put a 60V MOSFET in its place. Both had the same package (SOT-223). I just assumed SOT-223 was a part number and not the form factor lol.

Atleast I think I did not fry the ESP since the MOSFET only output like 0.45V instead of the required 3.3V

God damn I feel like a dummy.

I finished my trousers!

Over a year ago I set out on the project to make myself a pair of trousers, copied from an old pair of hiking trousers that I liked. I'd never done any sewing of that complexity.
I used a 40-year-old sewing machine and did a lot of hand basting.
It was quite a learning experience. It's amazing how many pieces there are in such a garment, how many little details.

I cut the old trousers open at the seams, laid the pieces out on the floor and calculated the size of the fabric.

The fabric I used is 100% cotton, 110 cm wide, 217 g/sqm and I needed 2.5 m.

The trousers don't have a crotch seam. Instead there is a gusset that runs the whole length of the legs. There is also a yoke and lots of other details like darts at the knees and fancy front pockets. The hardest part was the zip, I had to redo that. I did the buttonhole by hand.

I know it's kind of expected to post pictures but in the end this is just a rather plain grey pair of trousers, not much to see.

Für morgen habe ich geplant, mich bei meinen Eltern zu outen.

Beide sind schon über 70 und ich habe die Sorge, dass es gar nicht gut laufen wird.

Immerhin reden wir meine Freunde gut zu und sagen, ich soll es endlich hinter mich bringen.

Vor ein paar Tagen habe ich ChatGPT gefragt, ob es aus meinem Avatar einen passenden Chibi-Anime Charakter bauen könnte.

Scheinbar kennt ich auch ChatGPT ganz gut 😅
