It's nice that they're at least moving to LibreOffice, but it's still disappointing that they're sticking to Windows for now.
@stefan That is true! Hopefully they won't just leave it at LibreOffice though even if that is a great step in the right direction.
@alexseifert it's a classical move: you first you migrate them to multi platform tools, then you change the platform. If you make them relearn all in one go, they hit a stonewall and the migration fails.
@mdione That is a good point I hadn't considered. You're absolutely right though!
@alexseifert I wonder what made them choose Libre Office over OnlyOffice which seems more like eg. Word in daily use?
@sorenladegaard Good question. Maybe because LibreOffice is based in the EU? I don't know where OnlyOffice is based though, so if it's also based in the EU, then I have no idea. đŹ
@alexseifert I just happened to participate in a couple of transitions. First one was a disaster because of that.
@mdione That's fair. I could see that a more gradual approach would be much better since people tend to dislike change.
@Albimen I agree! Hopefully, they wonât stop there once people get used to working with LibreOffice.
