Probably not necessary right now, but I kinda want to look at ways to get the HBA to work in a PCIe x1 slot so I can leave the x4 slot free for other things like a third NVMe or moving the GPU there to insert a 4x bifurcation card in the main x16 slot

options include:
- cutting a notch at the back of the x1 slots (risk: potentially damaging the mobo if my hand slips)
- one of those mining card adapters (may not be reliable)
- cutting the connector on the card (similar risk to the first one except on the card itself)
- switch to having nvme on x1 risers instead (will definitely cut the bandwidth of nvme drives)

@mikoto do you have any free m.2 slots in there? M.2 to PCIe adapters are a thing too but it would be a bit cursed
