Off to the US next weekend for a work thing. Currently evaluating what I need to jettison from my phone/iPad before the trip, based on reports of immigration people looking at devices. This client (separate to my main) will be one of the things to go, temporarily.

Had a clear out of “hidden” photos, which were almost entirely just in-skirt selfies that made me feel good about myself (offloaded them to my NAS at home), and made sure they’re not hanging around in “Recently Deleted.”

Reddit will need to go, it’s signed in as my crossdressing mod account (could sign out but don’t trust caching).

Think that’s about it. My main Mastodon timeline is lefty but I mostly just post tech stuff (and cats).

It’s all so dumb, and feels at odds with the progress I feel I’ve made with accepting myself/going out in public (cf last night).

And reinforces the sympathy feel for folks in the States having to deal with this risk on a more ongoing basis 💜

@guyinaskirt america seems in a very weird state right more. I mean they always were somewhat hostile to immigrants. But them just picking out random people to bully even from Europe is something else.

Just make sure paperwork is good, visa is good and maybe have some contact in the US that knows and can confirm you are there because of work related stuff if needed.

It is kinda sad to think that a state that advertises "freedom" above all else would need these precautions but here we are. Can't just fly in in a skirt lol.
