I kinda could not wait until friday to test out my new demonia boots in the outside world...

So I took a "little" walk outside today. Wasn't perfect weather but it was just spray raining a bit today. The walk was not that little even I was goind around the city for about I think 30-45 min.

Though I had quite a lot of anxiety before going out as well. So I did a anxiety special today. Scarf over the mouth, headphones on and hat.

tbh I wanted to test out the boots and the a bit warmer outfit. I never went anywhere dressed fem during winter, so I had to get a feel on what is good for this weather.

The Outfit consists of the following:

- cycling shorts (I had problems with getting abrasions in the crotch region easily when wearing tights and moving around a lot)
- fleece-layered tights for some warmth
- red tartan mini-skirt.
- long sleeved black t-Shirt
- knitted beige sweater
- "cat-ear" knitted hat
- red scarf
- and of course the Demonia Camel 300 Boots though I did put in some better insoles to make them fit slightly better
(- I specifically did not add my blister-resist-socks and went only on stockings into the boots just to see where the pain-point might arise)

Now to the walk itself:

Stairs will be the bane of my existence in these. Going up the stairs at the end of the walk was absolutely fine. But everyone who wore some heels for some time before knows. Going down stairs in heels is a challenge. I could stumbling down a set of stairs in these puppies lol. They are high and have lots of platform so going down stairs is kinda challenging.

I won't never look graceful going down stairs lol. But just take it slow and steady. But I made it unharmed. Going up stairs certainly was easier xD

Walking around in the boots was very fine tbh. The boots might get heavy with extended wear maybe.

I love how high they are though. I can't go fast in them, taking way smaller steps but it was so much fun. I could likely go through any puddles (as long as they are less than 4cm deep I guess) in these.

Walking itself was good. I strolled through different sidewalks, going up and down, crossing streets going through wonky non-flat streets. I generally felt totally fine walking the streets and sidewalks. I was having fun taking my time.

I was though kinda anxious the whole time. blobcatsweat (I know its unfounded but still...)

Now obviously these boots are still heels after all, so there is caveats, but I think I should manage in them quite good generally. They felt quite comfy for what they are. The wide, square toebox really helps make them comfier for sure.

Not wearing socks in them made me slide around a bit the boots (easily fixed with the blister-resist socks or socks in general).

Now there is some interesting stuff for me to take away:

- The right boot sits really well with the insole. Without socks I will certainly develop blisters over time on the ball of my foot. But I don't slide around too much in this.

- The left one is a bit more ... interesting. I slide way more in that one. Its also my longer foot of the two. I tend to hit the front of the toebox while setting my foot on the ground but only on the left.

MAybe they are too small? I will have too see. Nothing that would be unmanageable tbh (I hope). I may try lacing them again to prevent slippage maybe.

I wil just tag you as you might be interested @Nukumori @alexseifert @ritahayuni @guyinaskirt

I do really hope I can go somewhere in these this weekend. I planned to visit a queer-cafe in Freiburg on friday and then go to the CSD in Emmendingen on Saturday.

Though I do feel like I am catching a cold right now... (like fucking always when I actually want to go somewhere.... I hate my body sometimes in winter)

I really hope to feel better quick. Though i might skip the cafe in friday and aim to go only to the CSD in saturday...

Waht is great though is the outfit was warm enough for the weather. I was kinda sweaty at home though. Might be because I begin catching a cold.

@stefan @alexseifert @ritahayuni @guyinaskirt love the outfit 😍 it looks soooo cute on you.

I cam completely understand the annexation. Whenever I was in public in a skirt it felt great but I need to have the right day to endure the looks.

I think fir now I am good with heels. I do not think that they are my style. But, things can change. I think I will practice in my here at home and who knows, maybe be brave enough to wear them outside one day.

@Nukumori I love these boots so much blobcatheart

I certainly need Heels for my looks. Without them I feel like I miss something. Though that might because of fetish-reasons as well a bit. But to me an outfit just looks so much better so much more fem with some heels. I like them, I like looking at them I like wearing.

I did buy some heels that are a bit more comfy recently having blocky heels and stuff.

I went to work in my other pair but soon realized ergomics suffer for me in heels. Not even because of the heels themselves but since they mame you taller. And my chair is already in its highest position when wearing my relative flat sneakers blobcatjoy

Anxiety was kinda bad today. I did not wanna look at people and I covered much of my face. But strolling down the sidewalks and streets made me feel great.

The combo is obviously very out there. The coat and boots are surely eyecatcher. I love the look but have to cope with the anxiety for a bit until I can feel safe.

I soooo much fell in love with this more alt-look

@stefan very happy for you.

Well I love my legs in heels but I am not so good walking in them and right now to exhausted to train.

But maybe if I get more free time it will get more attraction to me. We will see, just at the beginning I’m my journey, experimenting with different looks and styles.

A whole new world, but I need time. Right now I can not even enjoy that I came out to most of the important people in my life.

@Nukumori I mean the skirt is the same as ever. My favorite design but in Mini-Skirt format instead of knee-length as per usual.

I am more a fan of the knee-length variant. But I chose the mini this time as it is not seen under the coat. My knee length one is seen under the coat just a bit.

Ah yeah looking around what you want and what suits you can be different. I tried so many things along the way. Some I really liked others were not style at all

I kinda settled on this "alternative" style as it features sheos which are not absolute pain to walk in, leaning into the goth-like aesthetic. Though I am not goth.... So that makes me a poser maybe?

Still I love seeing me like that. As said on other occasions. I would pick myself up for a date like this xD

Good luck on your journey btw and I hope you can find a happy-place too akko_hug

@stefan @Nukumori @ritahayuni @guyinaskirt I absolutely love the outfit! I think I need to get a skirt like that. The boots work so well with it too! Stairs are never fun in heels, so I understand what you mean by not looking very graceful. 😅

It's normal to feel anxious while out in unusual clothing. You can be proud that you have the courage to do it anyway though! 😀

It sounds like you need socks, but that otherwise the boots fit rather well! That's great to hear! They look amazing!

@alexseifert I bought the mini-version of the skirt a whim first (like a year back or so after coming out of the closet. And for most stuff it just felt too short for me. But with these high lace-up boots in a goth-y look and that coat it just feels like the right length. Though maybe a tad cheeky.

The high boots really shrink the gap between the hem of the skirt and the top of the boots to a nice and comfy level. Anything less and I would rather wear a longer skirt tbh.

But here in this combi. Its awesome. Espcially for the fact that the skirt ends the same length as the coat making for a stunning look in that when no skirt peeks out from underneath I am in love with it.

Just showing off the coat, the boots and some juicy gap inbetween.

It is though still kinda funny to me that this would make me wear a shorter skirt in winter than in the summer. I may need to look for a nice coat that is long enough just to end above knee. So I can fit my longer skirt under it without it peeking through. I will have to look.

Here are some links to the skirts I bought btw

Mini-Version: https://www.amazon.de/gp/aw/d/B08ZK8ZGY3 (not in stock anymore but mini-skirts are availiable obundantly you will find something similar

The Midi (Knee-length for me) is this one: https://www.amazon.de/gp/aw/d/B09486QDBP (they not have the same like I have anymore but I also have the same one in that green tartan and black)

Both of these I bought in L for the length mostly as the waistband is made with elastic so it is super comfy and fits me well all the time.

The black one is great when I want to wear some colored top and red is just my go-to color tbh.

I figured that i certainly would need socks in these boots. I just wanted to be sure which pain-points might come from them. For the right foot this will work, the left though is kinda neocat_woozy

But I surely will take care going down stairs and clutch that handrail. Not elegant but I will not die.

I normally Am less anxious when Friends take me out (I feel very safe with @rick for example akko_hug )

But going out alone like this is very different. Though I will calm down as I reach my location (was like that with the CSD in Stuttgart atleast)

@ritahayuni I dunno tbh I did not dare to look at other people too much because of anxiety. neocat_sweat

But yeah the looks and wears so lovely tbh. The boots are somewhat comfy and the tights and coat look awesome and keep me warm in that weater no problem. Without the anxiety.

When I feel a little safer I will definietly enjoy myself in an outfit like this. I love the outfit so much as well.

@guyinaskirt It will mostly be a matter of occasion tbh. They will be worn to that CSD on saturday with this exact Outifit. Very much out there. As one should be on a CSD blobcatjoy

I like these very much. I think I might get the same boots again but with a shorter shaft heighr so it would be easier to wear the beauties (or shorter lookalikes) in summer. Otherwise I might sweat a bit too much in those long boots.

Occasions are a bit rare for me so I might run into a problem quick. Which shoe do I wanna wear for that occasion xD

@stefan yeah definitely if you have few opportunities then you can end up overthinking what to do for each one! I am in that state right now - a week from now is the rock band convention I wear skirts at the whole time and I am worrying way too much about outfit planning :)

@guyinaskirt blobcatjoy I have an idea for you: SKIRTS!

Share some fits when you have them together though! I am not into Rock myself but have a friend that is metal head. Just the loveliest people although they may look "different" from a "normal" standpoint

@stefan skirts? You might be on to something there…

My outfits are not necessarily “rock” but anything goes at this event really :)

@stefan grey skirt for the Friday evening, either with these trainers, or heels. I have a skirt-based gender-swapped Freddie Mercury outfit for fancy dress on Saturday (his red/white shorts with braces to red/white skirt with braces), and the red skirt for Sunday with DMs. Pics from test fittings :) daytime skirts TBC but the denim one is likely to be one of them.

@stefan @rick It's amazing how tall boots can help make short skirts feel more balanced. :) I agree that it's really awesome in that combination! The coat is really the cherry on top that brings it all together! I really love the outfit!

Thanks for the links! I'll see if I can find something similar. I'm also just a big fan of red and black. ;)

Yeah, going alone is a lot scarier than with support. It's great you were able to get over yourself though and do it! Not many men can say that! 😀
