@rick I can attest to that. Even though my stuff surely has things that would be needed to be done better.

Tbh though. Marin atleast is dedicated. Even though she has no inkling about sewing she tried it. I can respect that.

Though going about that stuff without a sewing pattern or anything just by the photo seems... interesting.

Good there is always stuff to choose from in terms of sewing pattern. Like with the Maid Dress I wanted to make or that skirt I am making at the moment.

It sure helps having one. They also come with little instruction booklets or in the case of that maid dress even with video. Great to learn from.

Also that vintage sewing machine of Gojos Granddad was nice to see. From what I know about table-sewing machines... (yes its literally built into the table) they are quite rudimentary. Only doing straight stitch when its that old. They normally very sturdy though.

Also that big handwheel can be useful when doing thick leather where sewing with the motor is no option. You basically stitch that stuff using the handwheel I heard.

Though obviously there industrial grade machines that can plow through leather used in upholstery lol.

@rick I mean I get that Gojo could wing something like that. If you have years upon years of sewing experience and patterning prowess (these dolls certainly do not have any sewing patterns)

It should be an easy thing for him to take some measurement and tailor stuff for Marin.

(Though the measurement taking might be neobun_llenn_blush )

Also I cannot fathom the torture that it must be to create these small costumes for the dolls. Super small and intricate stuff is the baine of my sewing existance.

Unapologetic """"AI"""" hater aetios

@stefan we are getting a sewing (well, overlock) machine from my mom soon :0

@aetios Oh nice. I know my mom has overlock at home (she is an actual Tailor for women and children or used to be anyway)

Though the overlock alone might not be enough for sewing. Overlocks are really great for serging though.

Never had one myself so I dunno if they can do normal straight stitch as well.

@aetios Hahaha true. If you are looking for something cheaper you might wanna go with something used. Though have a look at them first that they are in a good enough condition

@aetios Reminds of that 20€ sewing machine I bought some time ago. As long as it stitches straight and tension is not super messed up you should be good.

It might be a bit rattly but thats fine.

Also make sure you get atleast one fitting bobbin (thingie for the bottom-thread)

@aetios just can be diffucult to find the right bobbin when you don't have a correct one to compare to.

btw the serger will likely use a few threads at the same time. Big cone shaped ones. You can use them on normal machines as well. Might need some holder though. (easy 3D-Print tbh)

Also get yourself some new needles with a used machine and replace it after buying one.

Same might be useful for the overlock as well (though I dunno how easy its to change on that one)
