It’s finally time to show the drawing I’ve been working on this week. I’m super proud of it for many reasons.

@volpeon will all your future characters end with eon?
When will the cat boy return? Still waiting for my delivery. 😝
@kura Fun fact, my first idea for the name was Ares, but then I noticed that adding the “-eon” suffix sounds really good, too. So yeah, I will do that with other future characters.
@volpeon (I hate that aria keeps all meta data of previous post if you abort)
@volpeon Volpi yourself is pushing the measurement to 12/10. I think the tailpoof gives an advantage there. ^^;
Remember how I said Skyrim and its werewolf gameplay inspired me to get back to drawing? It also made me want to come up with werewolf-like character to use as my fursona (in addition to my wyvern). I always did have a soft spot for werewolves since they’re more animalistic than most other anthro characters.
I didn’t really have any plans for his design apart from “mantled beast meets werewolf”. The fur color was a placeholder, but as I was working on the shading, I liked how it looked and decided to leave the colors as-is.
This created an entirely new challenge for me, where shading was extremely important because otherwise features would melt together and the body would be an unrecognizeable blob. Just imagine that hand in the foreground and the body behind it with less or no shading.
I’m proud of this drawing because I managed to make it work. The fur looks fluffy, the leg shading is one step better compared to my wyvern ref sheet, and I even drew two hands with full shading! This was only the second time I drew hands, so I struggled quite a bit with that part, though.
Overall, this was the perfect project on my week off.
@volpeon it def came out really nicely, the sorta feral werewolf vibes with mantled beasts goes hard c:
@volpeon This is an excellent sample of "Critter on two legs that looks cool". Great job! :3
@volpeon also this is dope as fuck I love it all streamlined visor, the contrast with light/shadows and floofness omg
@volpeon very creature {*nodnods seriously*}
@volpeon O-okay, that is definitely not friend-shaped.
@volpeon The hunched posture conjures up a specific image in my head. Can you draw a fire engine for scale
What an absolute guy
Love this design a lot. He's so sleek. I especially like the "horns" (?) on the visor. Also tail tripods are underrated imo
I’m trying to add some basic lore so the sheet looks less empty
@volpeon neat friend looking critter! I like the idea with the visor also.
