sister is being very demanding that I come for dnner on her birthday which is on a tuesday (and she lives 100 km away). First of all i dont understand wy this is so important to her but second our schedules don't match up at all, I work until quite late and she usually wants to eat at 6 or so

I am from a russian family and birthdays are really an important thing. ^^" You invite family and have a good time together eating, drinking, celebrating.
