it's amazing to me that sometimes i put a lot of effort into something to get really poor results, and other times i put little effort to get great results

@NeonPurpleStar You know maybe looking the results only is not the best thing to do. Sometimes you just put effort into something just to see it not work out. That does not mean it was not good to do.
Likely you learned some things along the way or stuff you could differently next time to achieve the result you may have wanted. Or you may just have enjoyed the process of doing something.
