Nier Automata is great, but damn Nier Replicant has an extremely comfy vibe.
I'm enjoying it quite a bit. The combat is exactly like Nier Automata, very fluid. But the environments really sell it for me. Somehow it actually made me not mind backtracking for quests. As an example, your tiny house in the first village actually feels homey and warm to come back to. Makes me wish the game had a weather system so it rained.
The only thing I don't vibe with is the main enemies. I generally don't like enemies that are just "shadow shape things" or like the same vibes as the fighting polygon team from smash bros. However, since this is Yoko Taro I'm sure the game will make it very interesting later.
