One day, Kurt, a kind-hearted boy, is suddenly kicked out of the Hero’s Party for being “useless.”
I guess this fucking trope is taking over as the #1 spot of being the most overused
Bonus points if the party who threw the protagonist out is unreasonably malicious and stupid for no reason
@volpeon hmm honestly I'm curious if it's 1 or 2, as recently you also got the fucking
I was bullied for having the worst skill but actually 🤓 it was secretly the strongest
though they're probably like symbiotic tropes in there
@lykrast This trope is also right there in the description for that anime lmfao
“He proves to be skillful in cooking, building, mining, crafting magical tools—in fact, his aptitude for every skill unrelated to combat had an SSS-ranking! Kurt, however, seems completely unaware to his talent and ends up saving people, the town, and even the country through his unaware actions!?”
@volpeon I groaned just reading that
and it's never a clever like "oh this seemingly useless skill has some clever applications" it's always something where "why would anyone think this is useless?? and also why are they bullying the mc over it?"
They were smug-faced, arrogant and violent. Now we only need to see them again a few episodes later, struggling and not understanding why while remaining arrogant assholes, and that box can be ticked.
I swear this trope feels like the author wants to fantasize about revenge on people who treated them poorly.
