its like the second time now I am transporting a fucking PC with public transport 🚋

Just last few hundred meters from the station home might suck balls though

PS: This post goes to my former boss that one told me I might need a drivers license If I wanna transport things like a crate of sparkling Water (normally 12x 0,7L in glass bottles) While A car is convenient it can be done by other means.

@stefan

What I have already transported on foot + public transport.

6x1.25 litre Pepsi per hand, even 12 bottles in total.

I've already transported my PC, parts of my house move and bulky rubbish, as well as lots of bottles of Pepsi, with the granny trolley.

Only on Saturday I transported 16 x 1.75 litres of Pepsi by bike.

You don't necessarily need a driving licence.

But the move would have been almost impossible without a car or van.

@stefan

We have even transported a sofa with a bicycle trailer. However, we pulled the bike trailer and didn't ride it.

It wasn't a bicycle trailer for children either, but the trailer was stable and without any superstructure.

@eru this whole thread leaves americans confused. But its not their fault tbh. Its the infrastructure that wholly car-dependant. I mean I would be car-dependant as well if not for that train that stops by this village every 30 min.

If not for that bigger city nearby this would likely not be the case anyway. They made a big push in the early 2000s to make an already laid train-track be better.

You can read up on the basics here: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elz_Valley_Railway

Though the english article is missing some info. I misses the whole section about electrification of the line in recent years (about 2020)
