ikea tempered drinking glasses
they are like schrodingers glasses
like ive had some that survived multiple countertop height drops onto hard tile and some that shatter if you look at them wrong

@eru arent the shards like super dumb to clean up? Stuff gets everywhere

@stefan yeah they are
shatters into a bunch of tiny fragments, really requires sweeping and a decently thorough vacuuming to get rid of it
unlike the ceramic mugs i have, which when they break seem to stay in more bigger pieces

@eru normal glass also generally tends to into bigger pieces as well

@stefan yeah i think the tempered stuff is supposed to be tougher to break, and they generally are i think
but ive had some that break very easily, its sort of inconsistent, maybe the ikea stuff is manufactured with less tolerances

@eru generally yeah it is harder to break. But tempered breaks easier on punctual impact.
